LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Twenty-three wanted persons were successively arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents in separate anti-criminality operations in the different parts of the Cordillera from May 25-31, 2025.
Police authorities said that the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with eight individuals apprehended, followed by the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) with six arrests, Benguet PPO with five, Abra PPO with two, and Ifugao PPO and Mountain Province PPO with one arrest each.
Meanwhile, the continued partnership between the PNP and local communities, coupled with increased police visibility, resulted in zero crime incidents across 56 municipalities in the region.
Specifically, no crime incidents were recorded in 21 municipalities in Abra; 10 in Ifugao; 9 in Mountain Province; seven in Apayao; five in Benguet, and four in Kalinga. In Baguio City, Police Stations 1, 3, and 6 of the Baguio CPO also reported zero crime incidents.
Further demonstrating their commitment to justice, PRO CAR achieved an impressive 81.54% crime clearance rate and a 70.77% crime solution efficiency highlighting the dedication and capability of Cordillera police in resolving criminal cases.
