TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Grade 10 representatives and coordinators from 27 secondary schools in the city attended the pivotal orientation on cooperative management at St. Thomas Credit Cooperative today, September 21.
The event marks the first step towards the inaugural Cooperative Quiz Bee 2024, a highlight of the city’s Cooperative Month celebration.
The orientation, sponsored by the ten leading cooperatives in the city, aims to instill cooperative principles among students.
The session is led by May Bumatay of Kalinga Field Office of the Cooperative Development Authority, who provided valuable insights into cooperative management.
Treasure Link Cooperative Society also introduced the concept of laboratory cooperatives, emphasizing their formation and operation by minors affiliated with registered cooperatives.
Following the lectures, participants faced a post-test elimination round to determine the top 10 schools that will advance to the final quiz bee on October 9, 2024, at the Tabuk City Gymnasium.
The City Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office served as the secretariat, ensuring a well-organized event.
