LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Twenty-seven wanted persons were successively arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents during a week-long anti-criminality operation that were conducted in the different parts of the Cordillera from April 20-26, 2025.
Based on the report from the regional investigation and detective management division of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PRO-CAR), during the weeklong manhunt operations, Baguio City Police Office (CPO) led with 14 arrests, followed by Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with six, Kalinga PPO with three, Ifugao PPO with two, and Abra and Apayao PPOs with one arrest each.
Among those apprehended, three were identified as Most Wanted Persons (MWP), two at the Provincial Level and one at the Municipal Level.
Meanwhile, highlighting PRO-CAR’s commitment to public safety, 51 municipalities across the region and five police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents.
These include 22 municipalities in Abra, seven municipalities in Mountain Province, six municipalities each in Benguet and Kalinga, and five municipalities each in Apayao and Ifugao. Additionally, Police Station (PS) 1, PS2, PS5, PS6, and PS9 of Baguio CPO also recorded no crimes during this period.
Moreover, PRO-CAR achieved a 69.35% crime clearance efficiency and a 64.52% crime solution efficiency, demonstrating the effectiveness of its operations.
