BAGUIO CITY – Combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents arrested twenty eight drug suspects and confiscated over P238,000 worth of illegal drugs during a series of anti-drug operations from August 1-31, 2022 in various parts of the city.
Police Col. Glen Lonogan, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), disclosed that some 19 high value individuals and 9 street level drug suspects were arrested during the said anti-illegal drug operations in the city last month.
Further, he claimed that some 20 cases were filed in court against the arrested drug suspects for violation of the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law of 2002.
Lonogan said that the successful anti-illegal drug operations were a result of their tenacious fight against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the city.
The police official hailed the combined government forces for their unrelenting and uncompromising efforts to suppress the supply of illegal drugs and making the city a drug free city in the future.
