LUNA, Apayao – The Department of Agriculture-Cordillera Administrative Region (DAR-CAR), in partnership with the Provincial Office of Agricultural Services (POAS), recently disbursed a total of PhP873,000 to the Fuel Assistance Program for Farmers ( FAPF) last December 12,2024 held at the Aliwa Gym, Luna Apayao.
Some 291 farmers in the province of Apayao benefited from the FAPF with each farmer recipient receiving a Department of Agriculture Intervention Monitoring Card with fuel assistance amounting PhP3,000, excluding the cost of the card of PhP150.
The FAPF program, according to DA-CAR, aims to provide fuel assistance to eligible beneficiaries who own or rent agricultural machineries being used for cultivation or crop production such as pump, engines, tractors, transplanters, harvesters, threshers, shellers and shredders.
