City officials recently commended and congratulated Jed Ataban Cangsan and Eriza Joy Abalos Tambalque of the Catholic-run Saint Louis University (SLU) for ranking second and sixth place, respectively during the march 2024 medical technologists licensure examination with an average of 92.80 and 92.20 percent.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that the achievement of Cangsan and Tambalque has brought honor and pride to the city which is yet another testament that the city remains to be the Education Center of the North.
Earlier, the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) announced that some 7,309 out of 9,068 examinees passed the medical technologists examination which was conducted last March 21 and 22, 2024 in various testing centers around the country.
Further, the results of the examination which was released after two days from the last day of the examinations that was held in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban and Zamboanga showed impressive performances among the examinees.
Cangsan and Tambalque, both SLU alumni, are among the 7,309 examinees who hurdled the aforesaid examination.
The two SLU alumni did not just pass the said medical technologists licensure examination but also landed in the top ten passers where Cangsan ranked second with an average of 92.80 percent and Tambalque placing in sixth with an average of 92.20 percent.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Cangsan, Tambalque and the SLU administration for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
