BAGUIO CITY – After a successful staging of the 1st Bulado Cup last January 24, 2016, Mr.&Mrs. Francis and Josephine Bulado will again be sponsoring the second Bulado cup which will be staged on May 14-16, 2016 at the Coyeesan Sports Complex, Naguilian Road, Baguio City.
The second staging of the tournament will also feature a category for the elementary and high school badminton enthusiasts in two divisions A&B, and a senior division for 40 years old and above players. While the Senior Division 39 years old and below will be having six level divisions namely Elite Category; for current varsity players and level A players who are medallists in the past tournament.
Level A; will be composed of former varsity players and corporate players who shall be levelled in Level A. Level B players are advanced players who shall be levelled as level B. Level C; are intermediate players and players who are medallists in level C and D in recently held tournaments. Level D, are players under level D and medallist under level D and E in recently held tournaments. Level E; players not falling under the abovementioned levels or beginners.
The competition having to be an invitational tournament shall adopt the international Badminton Federation and the Philippine Badminton Association rules and regulations, all events shall be played in a single round robin, following the 1-35 points scoring system and will be played in the following events. Boys Doubles, Girls Doubles and Mixed Doubles for High School and Elementary participants. Mens’ Doubles, Womens Doubles, and Mixed Doubles for the 40 years old and above category, and Mens Doubles, Womens Doubles and Mixed Doubles for the seniors category in all levels.
Registration fee is pegged at P 500 for the Seniors Division (Men/Women) per event, High School P 350 for Boys and Girls per event, Elementary P 300 for boys and girls per event. Prizes to be given away will be certificate of merit for the champion and 1st runner up winners in all events , cash prizes at stake will be P 2,000.00 and P 1000.00 for elementary winners, P 2,500.00 and 1,000.00 for High School winners, P 3,500.00 and P 1,500.00 for the seniors and above 40 level winners, and P 5,000.00 for the overall team champions.
