BAGUIO CITY – Three people, including a 6-year old boy, died while five others were injured in a 3-vehicle collision that transpired at Km. 3 Asin Road, here, Friday morning.
However, police authorities have yet to release the identities of the fatalities and injured individuals until such time that their families had been properly informed of what happened.
Two persons died on the spot as a result of the said collision of a container van, a taxi and a passenger van who were plying the same direction towards Km. 4 Asin Road.
Probers claimed that the three motor vehicles involved in the accident were gong towards a single direction when the container van where the 2 fatalities were on board suddenly bumped the rear portion of a taxi that later bumped the rear portion of a passenger van which caused the driver to lose control and eventually ram the said vehicle into a concrete wall on the side of the road.
Rescuers immediately rushed the victims to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but the 6-year old boy who was one of the 6 occupants of the passenger van died while undergoing close medical supervision.
The local police has yet to issue a progress report on the said incident as of press time.
