LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Three suspected drug traders were successfully arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents while on the process of allegedly re-packing prohibited drugs at Tili, Shilan here at around 2 pm Monday.
Inspector Joyce Ann Dayag, public information officer of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested drug personalities as Mr. Gamlosen Sarlipan Dayag-o, 31, single, native of Sadsadan, Bauko, Mountain Province, Mael Pagada-an Mateo, 27, married and Ronald Curpos Wadilia a.k.a Onad, 25 married, native of Bangar, La Union, all were reportedly involved in the lucrative chicken dung trade as part of their source of livelihood.
Confiscated from Wadilla were five (5) small sachets of white crystalline substance suspected as shabu and the marked money, while seized from Gamlosen were two (2) small sachet of shabu.
Further the team noticed another group of men inside the said room of Mr. Ronald wherein PO3 Acop, RAIDSOTG personnel entered to the said room as poseur buyer and witnessed different paraphernalia’s which prompted him to give signal to his team to enter and was able to seize the following; assorted different paraphernalia’s, cash amounting to P3, 000.00 and arrested the other suspects busy repacking anti-illegal drugs was Mr. Mateo one of them. Marking of the confiscated items were done at said room of Mr. Ronald with the presence of Barangay Kagawad of Shilan together with the media and said marking was completed at around 4:30 PM of the same day.
Charges of violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law were already filed against the arrested suspects while the confiscated prohibited drugs were turned over to the PNP crime laboratory for the conduct of the appropriate tests.
