BANGUED, Abra – Three teenagers were hurt and are now confined in separate hospitals in this capital town after they were repeatedly stabbed by three suspects for still unknown reasons while they were en route to the Bangued Food Court along Santiago Street, Zone 5 here around 7:40 pm Sunday.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the injured individuals as Lester Agpad Tubaña, 18, single; Jomar Agpad Tubaña,19; and Jing Guinaban, 18, all are residents of Sallapadan, Abra.
Bartolome identified one of the arrested suspect as John Carlo Quesada, 22, native of Naglibakan, Tineg, Abra while the two other suspects who eluded arrest were identified as Jeric Bergonia, and Ryan Bergonia.
Initial police investigation showed the victims were walking along Santiago St. and were en route to the Bengued Food Court when the suspects suddenly appeared in front of them and challenged them to a fight.
After a few moments, the suspects suddenly repeatedly stabbed them in the different parts of their bodies before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
Thereafter, without any apparent reason, the suspects simultaneously stabbed them on the different parts of their body. Lester and Jomar are now confined at the Seares Hospital, Bangued, Abra while Guinaban is also confined at the Abra Provincial Hospital.
Bartolome cited manhunt operations are now being conducted against the remaining suspects for them to answer for the crime they committed while the arrested suspect now stands to face frustrated homicide charges before the Abra provincial prosecutor’s office.
