ITOGON, Benguet – Three persons, including two students, were arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having caught them conducting alleged pot session during an anti-illegal drug operation in an abandoned building of the Philex Mining Corporation at Eastern Saddle, Ampucao, here, Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Pr4ovincial Police Office, identified the arrested individuals as Glen Bautista Villanueva, 19, single, Sanitary Engineering student of University of Cordillera, a resident of Philex, Tuba, Benguet; Arjay Castro Umlas, 30, married, self-employed, and a resident of Eastern Saddle, Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet and Mr John Paul Compas Balagot Jr. 22, single, Civil engineering student of University of Cordillera, and a resident of Philex, Tuba, Benguet.
Confiscated from the possession off the arrested individuals were one heat sealed sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less, 1.02 gram, three toy guns, five cellphones, cash money in different denominations amounting to Php340.00 and drug paraphernalia.
The arrested drug users and the confiscated pieces of evidence were immediat5ely brought to the Itogon Municipal Police Station for documentation and filing of charges of violation of the provisions of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law against them.
