TUBA, Benguet – Three unconscious occupants of an ill-fated mini-truck were rescued by combined police personnel and rescuer and were rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for revival and appropriate medical treatment.
The said individuals were occupants of the minitruck that reportedly fell in a 100-meter-deep ravine and plunged into the Bued River at sitio Maramal, Camp 5, barangay Camp 4-Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet.
The said vehicle was bound for La Union and upon reaching the said place, it suffered from mechanical trouble that caused the driver to lose control of the same until it plunged into the deep ravine.
Responding police personnel and volunteers had a difficult time extricating the victims from the submerged vehicle but were able to do so and rushed them to the hospital for medical treatment.
Probers are still conducting an investigation on the cause of the accident and the status of the occupants who are now in the hospital. By Dexter A. See
