LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Three top most wanted persons in Apayao and Ifugao were successively arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents in separate anti-criminality operations in the said provinces.
In Apayao, a 39-year-old male identified as the No. 2 TMWP at the Regional Level of CAR was arrested in Barangay Sacpil, Conner, by the joint operatives of Conner Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit (PIDMU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, and Regional Intelligence Unit-14 (RIU-14) following the implementation of warrant of arrest for Sexual Assault and two counts of Rape against a 14-year-old female minor that occurred on June 2023 and June 2024.
Also in Apayao, a 17-year-old male minor identified as the No. 1 TMWP at the Municipal Level of Flora was arrested in Barangay Poblacion East, Flora, by the operatives of Flora MPS, 1st Apayao Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), PIU, PIDMU, RID and RIU-14 after the implementation of a warrant of arrest for four counts of Statutory Rape and Rape by Sexual Assault against a 13-year-old female minor that occurred on January and February 2024.
Meanwhile, in Ifugao, a 58-year-old male listed as the No. 5 TMWP at the Regional Level of CAR was arrested in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Alfonso Lista, by the joint operatives of the Alfonso Lista MPS, 2nd Ifugao PMFC, PIU, and RIU-14 after the execution of a warrant of arrest for Statutory Rape and Violation of RA 7610, also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, against a 16-year-old female minor that happened on February 2024.
