LUNA, Apayao – The Department of Labor and Employment-Apayao (DOLE) successfully distributed a total of ₱1,618,980 to 306 beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program on November 19, 2024 held at the Dioniso S. Agudelo Memorial Gymnasium, Poblacion Kabugao, Apayao.
The payout saw a mix of 141 individuals who rendered 10 days of work, starting from September 1 to 20, 2024 and 165 individuals who completed 15 days of work from October 1 to 20, 2024. The former received P4, 300 each, while the latter received ₱6.450 each.
TUPAD is a government initiative that provides short-term employment opportunities to displaced workers and individuals from marginalized communities. The program aims to provide immediate relief and support to those affected by economic hardship.
