LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Thirty-six hardened criminals, including eleven top most wanted persons, were arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents during an aggressive 5-day manhunt operation conducted regionwide recently.
Based on the records of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) of PROCOR, for the period, Benguet PPO has the greatest number of arrests with 18 arrested individuals followed by Baguio CPO with 13, Apayao PPO with 2 while Abra PPO, Ifugao PPO and Kalinga PPO with one arrest each.
Also, 11 wanted persons listed as Most Wanted Persons in various levels highlighted the manhunt operations. 1 is listed in the Regional Level, 6 in the Provincial Level, 2 in the Municipal Level, and two are in the Station Level.
In the Regional Level, Mark Gil Batoon Sawate, listed as No. 6, was arrested for violation of RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, and Statutory Rape by Sexual Assault.
In the Provincial Level, suspects Cristofer Lindawan Bakin, listed as No. 2, was arrested for the crime of Statutory Rape; Jeffrey Olindam Gayudan, listed as No. 4, was arrested for the crime of Frustrated Homicide; and July Catubag Asco, also listed as No. 4, was nailed for the crime of Rape and violation of RA 7610.
Still, in the Provincial Level, suspects Rizalino Fang Sang-it, listed No. 7, was nabbed for Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610; Danny Boy Caccam De Vera, listed as No. 8, was nabbed for violation of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act; and Marcelo Langaoan Artemio, listed as No. 9, was arrested for the crime of Lasciviousness Conduct in relation to RA 7610 and Sexual Assault.
Moreover, in the Municipal Level, John Joshua Cogoy Jacinto, listed as No. 1, was arrested for violation of RA 9262; and Jezzabel Lawagan Bonilla, listed as No. 6, was nabbed for the crime of Theft.
Lastly, in the Station Level, suspects Jommel Sarmiento Dela Cruz, listed as No. 5, was nailed for the crime of Robbery with Violence against or Intimidation of Persons; and Lileth Ticay Palgue, listed as No. 7, was arrested for violation of RA 7610.
