BAGUIO CITY – Police authorities released the identity of the third fatality who was killed in a shooting rampage by still unidentified gun-wielding men in front of a car wash at San Roque Village, here, Thursday night.
The third victim was named as Leandro Fara Cabanlong, 30, a native of Imus, Cavite, who was earlier described with tattoo on his right shoulder marked “XV GUARDIANS L LAR MAUTE” who sustained five gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body.
Earlier, the two other fatalities who were instantly killed during the shooting incident were named as Rudy Pagaduan Pais, married, a native of Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, stay-in car wash boy and Roland Valdez, single, car washer and a resident at Asin Road, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victims were drinking liquor in front of the car wash when the two still unidentified suspects suddenly arrived and started peppering them with bullets from a still undisclosed firearm.
A certain Mark Angelo Chuca Calma, 32, married, Jobless and a resident of San Roque Village, Baguio City who was in the area at the time of the incident was reportedly injured and now confined at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment of the multiple gunshot wounds he sustained.
Initial police investigation showed the aforesaid individuals were in the car wash area fronting a night establishment when the motorcycle-riding armed men arrived and successively fired at them that resulted to the three persons being declared dead on the spot while the injured person was able to be rushed to the hospital.
Responding police operatives and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) team recovered three spent shells and two deformed slugs of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the gunmen in the shooting spree.
Sources revealed the murder of the three individuals has something to do worth the alleged lucrative drug trade in the city.
