City officials recently congratulated and commended Kristoffer Kyle Fernando Fernandez of the University of the Cordillera (UC) for placing third in the Test of Practical Competency in Information Technology (TOPCIT) held last August 5, 2022.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), UC and the entire city are proud of such an excellent performance displayed by Fernandez during the said test of practical competency.
Earlier, the UC was able to produce two topnotchers in the 6th and 7th TOPCIT for Philippine higher education institutions.
The conduct of the TOPCIT is in partnership with the Institute for Information and Communications Technology Promotion (IITP) of the Republic of South Korea.
TOPCIT is a performance evaluation centered test designed to assess the competency of information technology specialists and software developers that is critically needed to perform jobs on the professional frontier.
Fernandez was one of the topnotchers in the TOPCIT which is at par with international standards.
Copies of the approved resolution will be forwarded to Fernandez and UC for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action.
