LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Four cooperatives from Apayao are the latest beneficiaries of agri-machineries being awarded by the Cooperative Development Authority Cordillera (CDA-CAR).
On September 30, the CDA-CAR Extension Office conducted a turn-over ceremony on the Digital 2-in-1 Corn Mill Combine Rice Mill with 10 KVA generator set to cooperative beneficiaries in the Cordillera held at the CDA-CAR Extension Office, Longlong, Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet.
The four cooperatives from Apayao which benefitted from this aid include Cassigaman Agriculture Cooperative, Calayucay Agriculture Cooperative Better Forward Imelda Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Cajoma Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) Multi-Purpose Cooperative. All four were awarded an Agri-Machinery for Rice and Corn handed by the CDA.
During the ceremony, the signing of Agri- Machinery Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Deed of Donation between the CDA- CAR Extension Office and cooperatives beneficiaries were also conducted.
“This Agri- Machinery Digital 2-in-1 Corn Mill Combine Rice Mill with a 10 KVA generator set is a valuable asset for cooperative beneficiaries in a community,” said the CDA-CAR, explaining that they offer a comprehensive solution for agricultural processing, improves food security, enhances livelihood, promotes community development, and contributes to sustainability.
By investing in this equipment, the CDA-CAR hopes that cooperatives can empower their members and contribute to the overall well-being of their communities. By Michelle Acantilado
