BANGUED, Abra – Four alleged wanted individuals were arrested by combined police operatives during the simultaneous service of twelve search warrants issued by the court at barangay Calaba here around 7 pm Thursday.
Senior Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested individuals as Avelino Blanza Almazan, 39, Benjamin Meneses Almazan, 28, single, construction worker, Edgar Bayle Battallones, 45, married and Alfredo Biscara Almazan, 54, married, unemployed.
Confiscated from them were two (2) plastic sachets of white crystalline powder suspected to be shabu and several shabu drug paraphernalia, one (1) box or Thirty (30) pieces of live ammunition for Caliber 5.56, Twenty (20) live ammunition for cal. 45, and One (1) live ammunition for cal. 22.
The arrested individuals and the seized illegal drugs and firearms and ammunitions were brought to the Abra Provincial Police Office for the conduct of the necessary tests.
Judge Rafael F. Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 2 issued the twelve search warrants against the arrested individuals.
