BAGUIO CITY – Four persons were arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having caught them red-handed in the act of playing cards inside a night spot along Naguilian road here, Wednesday dawn.
Baguio police officials identified the arrested individuals as Aaron Pertubal Palma, 24, single, tattoo artist and a resident of Paraan Street, Middle Quezon Hill, Baguio City; Ralph Darwin Supang Custodio, 22, single, and a resident at MRR-Queen Peace, Baguio City; Reymar Morales Maling, 18, and a resident of Quezon Hill Proper, Baguio City; and Elias III De Villa Fernandez, 21, single, 3rd year Information Technology (IT) student at University of Baguio and a resident of unnumbered house Bayan Park, Aurora Hill, Baguio City.
Confiscated from the possession of the arrested individuals by the members of the police personnel were cash bets of fifty-six pesos P 56.00, 31 pieces of one-peso coin and 5 pieces of 5 peso coin; 52 pieces of playing cards; 1 brown folding table (square in shape); and 5 pieces red mono block chairs.
The arrested individuals and the confiscated pieces of evidence wee brought to the BCPO Station No. 1 for documentation pending the filing of the charges of violation of the provisions of Presidential Decree (PD) 1602 or the Anti-Gambling Act against them before the city prosecutor’s office.
