LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Some four drug suspects were successively arrested while more than P16 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents in separate aggressive anti-illegal drug operations in the different parts of the region from July 22-28, 2024.
Police authorities stated that a total of eight operations were conducted in Benguet, Baguio City, and Kalinga that resulted in the confiscation of 82,000 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP), 5.25 grams of shabu, and.05 grams of dried marijuana leaves, with a combined total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P16,635,700.00.
Noteworthy achievements include three significant marijuana eradication operations and one search warrant in Kalinga. These operations led to the seizure of drugs with an SDP of P16,413,600.00 and the arrest of one individual identified as a Street Level Drug Personality.
In Benguet, the Benguet Police Provincial Office successfully eradicated P200,000 worth of marijuana plants. In Baguio City, the Napino cops arrested three drug personalities and confiscated P22,100 worth of shabu.
Police Brig. Gen. David K.
