CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet- The continuous fight against illegal drugs of Police Regional Office Cordillera resulted to the arrests of four (4) drug suspects listed as High-Value Individuals (HVIs) in separate buy-bust operations from April 10-13, 2021.
The Regional Director, PBGEN Ronald O Lee, identified the arrested suspects as Addreson Diego Elias, 24; Luncio Salvador Dosalen, 28; Jaruy Decerdo Esmeraldo Jr., 42; and William Vill Sabado Casibang, 28.
Benguet PPO, Provincial Director, PCOL Reynaldo Pasiwen confirmed that among the four (4) HVIs, suspect Addreson Diego Elias voluntarily surrendered in 2016 during the surge of the PNP’s Oplan Tokhang at Buguias MPS and has undergone rehabilitation and community service.
However, on April 10, in a buy-bust operation, Elias was arrested after he sold one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated total weight of 0.14 gram and a standard drug price of Php 952.00 to a poseur-buyer.
In the course of his arrest, another five (5) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 2.4 grams and an estimated value of Php 16,320.00 was recovered from the suspect.
On April 12, suspect Luncio Salvador Dosalen was arrested at Longlong after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.37 grams and an estimated value of Php 2,516.00.
Other confiscated items from him were one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.09 with an estimated value of Php 612.00.00 and a cellular phone.
Meanwhile, on April 13, suspects Jaruy Decerdo Esmeraldo and William Vill Sabado Casibang were arrested after selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” with an estimated weight of 2.21 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 15,028.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
In the course of their arrest, operatives were able to confiscate from suspect Casibang one (1) black sling bag containing one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” with an estimated weight of 1.05 grams and a SDP of Php 7,140.00, a black touch screen cellphone and the buy-bust money, a genuine 1,000.00 peso-bill and seven (7) pieces of 1,000-peso boodle money.
On the other hand, seized from the suspect Esmeraldo were two (2) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” weighing 0.90 grams with SDP amounting to Php 6,120.00.
All confiscated pieces of evidence were documented and inventoried onsite in the presence of barangay officials and other civilian witnesses.
Arrested suspects along with all the pieces of evidence seized were brought to the respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition.
All four (4) suspects are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). (PROCOR RPIO)
