HUNGDUAN, Ifugao – Four people, including a 12-month old baby, were injured after their vehicle bumped the corner of the road at sitio Hicot, barangay Poblacion here around 2:15 Monday.
Senior Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the wounded occupants of the ill-fated vehicle as Jocelyn Ballatong, 22, her 12-month baby, a 17-year old male student and Aurelio Buhi Camhit, 22, student driver and a resident of sitio Awa, Abatan, Hungduan, Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed the stainless jeep driven by Camhit was proceeding towards sitio Ti-iwan, Poblacion, Hungduan, Ifugao when the vehicle suffered mechanical trouble while negotiating a descending portion of the road that forced the driver to bump the corner portion of the road.
Because of the impact of the bump, the vehicle occupants were injured and were rushed to the Hungduan District Hospital for medical treatment where they were declared out of danger.
Probers are still conducting the appropriate investigation on the said case.
