BAGUIO CITY – Some 400 exhibitors from inside and outside the city will be displaying their flower-inspired crafts and food products during the week-long Session Road in Bloom that will run from February 24 to March 2, 2025.
BFFFI Executive Director Malou Galiste said there will be some 360 exhibitors occupying designated spaces from the top of Session Road, including portions of the Post Office area, and the sides of the road while the 100 stalls will be for the Liga ng mga Barangay Baguio City chapter to provide the concessionaires.
She claimed that the foundation was able to release some 600 application forms to the interested exhibitors of the Session Road in Bloom over the past several weeks and that the evaluation and assessment of the applicants shall follow after the submission of the requirements shall have been completed.
The Session Road in Bloom is one of the major attractions of the annual staging of the Panagbenga or Baguio Flower Festival where the city’s main thoroughfare will be converted into a promenade area with sidewalk cafes for both residents and tourists to enjoy the festive mood during the week.
Galiste claimed that the exhibitors are mandated to comply with stringent solid waste management rules in the disposal of their waste to ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the exhibit area.
The BFFFI official added that there will also be various performances from various local and national artists to provide added entertainment to the promenades along the stretch of the city’s main road.
The Session Road in Bloom is one of the resource-generating activities of the foundation for resources to sustain the annual conduct of the flower festival which is the city’s major crowd drawing event.
The 29th edition of the Panagbenga will kick off on February 1, 2025 with the grand opening parade that will be followed by the opening of the Baguio Blooms Exhibition Market Encounter and the Panagbenga landscaping competition. By Dexter A. See
