BAGUIO CITY – The City of Baguio officially started the holiday season with the celebration of “Silahis ng Pasko 2022” and the lighting of the giant Christmas tree at Session Road, Baguio City on December 1, 2022.
As part of the crime prevention and crowd control management, a total of 490 Baguio cops, police trainees, and force multipliers were deployed in observance of the said activity and for the succeeding activities to bolster the reign of law and order in the city.
During the kick-off program, thousands of residents and tourists gathered along Session Road to witness the traditional lighting of the city’s Christmas Tree and the Saint Louis University Lantern Parade which is now on its 14 year after a 2-year lull.
The Baguio CPO personnel along with other force multipliers conducted security coverage, traffic control, and proper crowd management while medical personnel and emergency volunteers were also positioned in the area to ensure the safety and order of the event.
The “Silahis ng Pasko” is a month-long celebration filled with Christmas activities lined up for the residents of Baguio and even tourists to enjoy.
