KABUGAO, Apayao – The Pan Pacific Renewable Power Phils. Corp. (PPRPPC) continues to aggressively implement its corporate social responsibility projects in its host and neighboring communities after more than five hundred residents of the town’s Isnag ancestral domain benefitted from the company’s recent gift giving event held at Lenneng here.
The beneficiaries of the said event were authorized elders, leaders and community residents from the Isnag ancestral domain who have been pre-screened to be qualified recipients of the distributed gift packs from the renewable energy company.
Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) and Board Member John Anthony S. Amid, Kabugao vice mayor Fabulous Tucjang, Municipal IPMR and Councilor James S. Amid, Liga ng mga Barangay president and Councilor Erick Amid, and Kabugao Indigenous Peoples Organization (KIPO) president Norman S. Batoon witnessed the gift giving activity which was spearheaded by PPRPPC representatives in coordination with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Kabugao service center personnel who were also present in the said activity.
The conduct of the gift giving activity is part of the company’s unwavering commitment in supporting the programs, projects and activities of its host and neighboring communities in relation to its proposed 150-megawatt Gened-1 hydroelectric power project.
Earlier, PPRPPC conducted similar gift giving activities in barangays Tanglagan and Naguilian in Calanasan town and Lt. Balag barangay in Pudtol where community residents from the said areas benefited from the gifts that were distributed by the company in separate dates. By Dexter A. See
