BAGUIO CITY – Some sixty one public buildings and schools in Baguio and Benguet were previously identified as the beneficiaries of the Benguet Electric Cooperatives’s Pailaw sa Paaralan project funded by the National electrification Administration (NEA) this year.
Engr. Melchor Licoben, department manager of BENECO’s Network Services Department, said under BENECO’s Pailaw sa Paaralan program, the electrical facilities of the schools are put in place by technical personnel to guarantee that the said institutions comply with the pertinent provisions of the Philippine Electrical code among other existing laws, rules and regulations for the safety and protection of the students and teachers.
However Licoben explained for this year, the beneficiaries of the program has been expanded to include barangay halls and public buildings within the franchise area of the rural electric cooperative.
“We will do our best to complete the items in the programs of work for the public schools and buildings that have been identified to benefit from the project within the prescribed period. We will make sure that the details of the project will be complied by our technical personnel and those who will implement the plans and specifications,” Licoben stressed.
Licoben, said the program is fully funded under the rural electric Cooperative’s CSR interventions to help improve the energization and lighting of the different public schools in Baguio and Benguet.
The beneficiaries of the project this year include the Bokod Central School Social Hall, Bokod Central School principal building, Bokod Central School Grade 6, Bokod Central School Workshop Building, Amsalsal Primary School, Chapides Primary School, Pacso Elementary School, Tickey Elementary School, Camanggaan Day Care, Pilpiok Elementary School, Calsa Elementary School, Karao Tribe Primary School, Bulo Primary School, Pacalso Elementary School, Pacalso National High Scool, Baguio Gold Elementary School, Binga National High School, Ligay Elementary School, Tuding Elementary School, Gaswiling Barrio School, Polis Elementary School, Ambangeg National High School, Legleg Barrio School, Midas Elementary School, Adaoay National High School Ground, Kapangan Central School, Sagubo Elementary School, Daclan Elementary School, Liboong Elementary School, Poodan Elementary School, Dalicno Elementary School, Langbis Primary School, Lawigen Community Schol, Goldfield Elementary School, Binga Elementary School, Manganese Elementary School, Domolpos Community School, Lusod Community School, Bato Primary School, Colalo Elementary School cottage, Mantiyeng Day Care center, Sesecan, Labaan Day Care center, Payeo, Bedbed Day Care Center, Poblacion Day Care Center, Bedbed Health Center, Bedbed Elementary School, Baay-Bedbed Day Care Center, Malinang Day Care Center, Maduto Day Care Center Guiweng Day Care Center, Carap Residence, Bokod LGU-Comelec Building, Bokod LGU-MRDDC Building, Bokod LGU-SB Building, Kabayan LGU Agri-business Building, Gibraltar Barangay Hall, Palma-Urbano Barangay Hall, Aurora Hill Barangay Tanod Outpost and Brookside Barangay Tanod Outpost.
