LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Sixty-four wanted persons for various offenses were successively arrested by combined police operatives during the implementation of intensified manhunt operations in the different parts of the region over the past several days.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), Baguio CPO recorded the highest number of arrests with 20 wanted persons arrested followed by Benguet PPO with 19 arrests, Ifugao PPO with 9 arrests, Abra PPO with 7 arrests, Apayao PPO with 4 arrests, Mountain Province PPO with 3 arrests and Kalinga PPO with 2 arrests.
Highlighting the intensified manhunt operations was the arrest of Suspect Arnold Baggaan listed as the No. 4 Most Wanted Person at the Regional Level. Suspect Baggaan was arrested by operatives of Kalinga PPO by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape.
Another highlight was the conduct of PROCOR’s one-time big-time (OTBT) operation on August 30 which resulted in the arrest of 56 individuals wanted by the law for various crimes that were committed in different parts of the region.
The arrested individuals were immediately brought to the concerned police stations for documentation and subsequent turnover to the courts for the proper disposal of the cases that were filed against them.
