The training emphasizes the essential role of oral health in overall well-being, addressing barriers such as geographic isolation, limited dental practitioners, and lack of awareness that hinder access to timely dental care.
Today’s sessions included a lecture on early childhood dental issues, the relevance of primary teeth, and nutrition-related dental habits. The HRH also learned about different dental identification systems and practiced dental profiling and fluoride varnish application through hands-on demonstrations.
This training underscores the need for a well-prepared dental workforce and effective education to ensure that the province’s oral health needs are met sustainably. By Michelle Acantilado
