TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Mayor Darwin C. Estrañero ordered the total lockdown of 7 barangays where the 6 COVID-19 cases in the city are said to be residing.
The locked down barangays include Bulanao Centro, Bulanao Norte, Ipil, Laya West, Lacnog West, and Cabaruan.
The lockdown will pave way for the conduct of aggressive contact tracing, disinfection, and effective patient management to prevent the spread of the deadly virus in the city.
Estrañero appealed to the residents to bear with the inconveniences of the lockdown so that immediate action could be done to isolate the patients and to prevent them from infecting others and control the spread of the disease in the community.
