BOKOD, Benguet Seven passengers of a Dalcan-bound passenger jeepney were injured when their vehicle reportedly lost its brakes prompting the driver to bump the same on the right side of the road cuasing it to rest on its left side at sition Inidian, barangay Ambuclao here around 3:30 pm Sunday.
Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, said the vehicle was negotiating a sharp curve along the Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya road when the driver, Jerry Ebes Equinio, 35, single, a resident of Ambuclao, Bokod, Benguet, noticed that its brakes were no longer working.
At this juncture, he decided to bump the vehicle on the right side of the road causing it to turn turtle and rest on its left side.
AS a result of the incident, seven passengers were injured and two of them were rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment.
Probers are still looking into the real cause of the accident while the passengers are still recuperating from their injuries.
