LAGAWE, Ifugao – A 7-year old girl died after she reportedly drowned within the Lico section of the famous Ibulao river at sitio Ladong, Poblacion West here at around 2 pm Thursday.
Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the fatality as Jane Nathalie Gano Dimapi, 7, an elementary pupil and a resident of sitio Ladong, barangay Poblacion West, Lagawe, Ifugao.
Relatives of the victim reported to authorities the drowning incident that prompted them to conduct the needed search and rescue operations for the missing victim.
Elements of the Lagawe Municipal Police Station have yet to submit a progress report relative to the aforesaid incident.
