CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Abra police arrested 8 individuals caught in the act of illegal gambling at Sitio Turod, Brgy Bangbangar, Bangued, Abra in the early morning of April 10, 2021.
Based on the reports reaching PBGEN RONALD O LEE, the arrested suspects were identified as Samuel Pacursa Azusano, 56; Rocel Eugenio Bernal, 60; Mark Anthony Barbadillo Plurad, 39; Mark Ferrary Billedo Belleza, 35; Fortunato Daming Fernando, 37; Dan Vincent Dela Cruz Libao, 34; Braidenburgh A. Papagayo, 18; and Ralph Ryan Estabillo Peria, 29.
According to PCOL CHRISTOPHER ACOP, Abra PPO Director, Abra cops received an anonymous report from a concerned citizen about an illegal gambling happening in Sitio Turod in Bangued. Operatives immediately responded and conducted an operation that resulted in the discovery of an ongoing illegal gambling wherein the arrested suspects were caught in the act of playing a game of dice known as “DADO.”
Along with their arrest, operatives also confiscated the bet money amounting to Php 46,708.00 in different denominations, two dice, two saucers, one small bowl, one (1) inch PVC pipe used as “tubong” and one green broken plastic table.
Arrested suspects were brought to Abra Provincial Hospital for medico-legal examination and subsequently to Bangued MPS together with the confiscated pieces of evidence for proper disposition. Suspects will be facing charges for violation of PD 1602 (Illegal Gambling). (PROCOR RPIO)
