BAGUIO CITY – The city government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), provided livelihood assistance to 81 beneficiaries for the Localized Sustainable Livelihood Program (LSLP) last December 10, 2024.
Individuals who attended the 8th payout ceremony received cash assistance up to PhP15,000, depending on their proposals.
The LSLP is a key initiative of the city government aimed at reducing poverty and empowering marginalized sectors through sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Social Worker Coralie Dulnuan said that the program aims to stimulate economic activity, create jobs, and improve the overall well-being of the city’s residents by providing financial assistance to individuals and groups.
“CSWDO has already supported a total of 274 beneficiaries under this program. This demonstrates the city’s commitment to addressing poverty and promoting social and economic development,” Dulnuan said.
According to CSWDO, the program will still continue next year to assist more aspiring small business owners. By Mileyvonne Tiamzon
