CAMP OSCAR FLORENDO, La Union – A total of 823 newly promoted policemen of Region 1 took their oath during the simultaneous oath-taking ceremony at the grandstand this camp on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018.
Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula, director of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1), administered the donning of ranks and mass oath taking of the 224 newly promoted police personnel assigned at the Regional Headquarters, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 and in La Union Police Provincial Office and National Support Units.
Five hundred ninety-nine (599) newly promoted police personnel assigned in Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, likewise, took their oath in their respective Police Provincial Offices.
Superintendent Reynaldo Ogay, Jr., chief, Regional Personnel, and Human Resource Development Division, said that a total of 823 newly promoted personnel comprising of 42 Police Commissioned Officers and 782 Police Non-Commissioned Officers assigned in different police units of Region 1.
A total of forty-two Police Commissioned Officers were promoted to include:13 Police Chief Inspectors; one Police Senior Inspector; and 27 Police Inspector.
For Police Non-Commissioned Officers, 10 were promoted as Senior Police Officer 4; 19 for SPO3; 277 for SPO2; 81 for SPO1; 324 for Police Officer 3; and 53 for PO2.
Sapitula said that the promotion of the personnel is one of his priorities to recognize their sacrifices, accomplishments, and merit they displayed in the police service.
“As your Regional Director, I want you to instill discipline all throughout your entire life in order for you to reach the edges of your goal. Institutionalize the moral standards and reacquaint the values of humility, respect, and courtesy,’’ Sapitula said.
The mass oath-taking ceremony was graced by the National Police Commission regional director. Evangeline Almirante, as member of the Alternate Promotion Committee.
