LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Some nine young yApayaos youth leaders participated in the 70th 4-H Young Farmers Regional Convention held at the ATI-CAR within the compound of the Benguet State University in La Trinidad, Benguet last September 8-10, 2023 to level up the knowledge and skills in agribusiness.
With the theme, “4-H EVOLVE: Expanding the Value of Leadership and Values over 70 years of Excellence,” the event provides an avenue for the young participants to foster and develop their entrepreneurial and innovative skills.
The convention featured informative sessions, including lectures on business management canvas and entrepreneurship for aspiring agripreneurs.
The participants also engaged in three competitive events: the Regional Excellence Award Achiever (REAA) Presentation, Merchandise Making, Question and Answer Contest, and the Himig Handog Contest.
The 2023 REAA aimed to honor and support the outstanding achievements and contributions of the 4-H Club and its dedicated members at the national level. Prior to the event, finalists underwent a rigorous judging process.
In the Regional Excellence Award Achiever Presentation category, the first-place winner hails from Apayao, with Cristine Joy Crisologo of Pudtol taking the top spot. In the Merchandise Making Question and Answer Contest, Jhon Paul Rosaupan from Flora secured the third position. The Himig Handog Contest witnessed Danver G. Ulita from Luna clinching the second place.
The group was accompanied by Christoffer P. Vidad, the Provincial Rural Based Organization Coordinator from the Apayao Office for Agricultural Services.
