LUNA, Apayao – A total of 92 indigenous peoples (IPs) from Apayao participated in a free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) conducted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Apayao on February 27, at the LTO Conference Hall in San Gregorio, Luna.
The seminar covered road safety education and provided free assistance for student permit applications and medical certificate issuance. Participants will next undergo the Practical Driving Course (PDC), an eight-hour hands-on training required for obtaining a driver’s license. The PDC will be facilitated by ARTIYA Driving School at its maneuvering site in San Isidro, Luna.
This program is made possible through the initiative LTO Apayao, partnering with the provincial government, in order to make sure that road safety education and licensing services remain accessible to the IP community. By Diocen Tolentino
