The Department of Education (DepEd), pursuant to the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) and ensuring the continuity of education amidst the COVID-19 global pandemic, announced, through Usec. Diosdado M. San Antonio, changes in DepEd school calendar for school year 2020-2021.
As per the announcement, March 1-12 will be the period of Bridging Learning Gaps wherein learners will be given time for remediation and to complete unsubmitted requirements and will also intensify learning gains and enrichment activities for fast learners. This will also give ample time to ensure the complete reproduction and delivery of self-learning modules (SLMs).
Meanwhile, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) released Regional Memorandum dated February 26, 2021 entitled Contingency Measures to Ensure Uninterrupted Distance Learning Delivery for Quarter 3.
Further March 15-19 will serve as the In-School Training (INSET) and for teachers to do the wellness program and nurturance of the physical aspects.
Quarter 3 will start on March 22 through May 15, 2021, while Quarter 4 will start of May 17, 2021 and will end on July 10, 2021 which also marks the end of classes for the current school year. By WILBERT B. WANAS
