City officials are requesting the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Cordillera Administrative Region (DENR-CAR) to provide the exact plotting of the application of the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) with respect to its reservation area included in its master site development plan which is being occupied by business owners along Kennon road.
Under Resolution No. 049, series of 2023, local legislators also requested the City Assessor’s Office to provide a real time rendition of DENR-CAR’s plotting for more visual orientation of the subject area and those structures affected, and submit these to the local legislative body.
Earlier considered by the council was the letter dated December 21, 2022 of Dr. Ricardo B. Runez, Jr., Medical Center Chief II, Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC), submitting the management’s position document relative to the letter dated August 25, 2022 of Vilma P. Javier et al, occupants/business owners along Kennon road apparently covered by the BGHMC reservation area, requesting assistance in the issuance of business permits and determination of whether the site they are occupying are under the said reservation area.
The Committee on Market, Trade, Commerce and Agriculture, in its 2nd indorsement dated January 5, 2023 recommended to furnish and forward the said letter to the DENR-CAR regional director for them to provide exact plotting of the application submitted by BGHMC and concomitantly for the City Assessor’s Office to provide a real time rendition of the DENR-CAR’s plotting for more visual orientation of the subject area and those structures affected and for the said mentioned offices to submit their requested plotting to the body for its perusal and appropriate action.
