BAGUIO CITY – At least 60 employees under the Administrative and Finance Division (AFD) Department of Agriculture-Cordillera (DA-CAR) participated in the two-day training workshop on procurement, supply and delivery, obligation, and disbursement processes on April 29–30, 2025 at City Travel Hotel, Baguio City.
The training, hosted by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), aimed to strengthen the capacities of participants through in-depth orientation and practical workshops on the administrative and financial processes of the agency.
Resource persons of the said training-workshop were technical officers from the AFD under the cashiering, accounting, supply, and budget sections. Key topics covered included the Procurement and Work Instruction Manual of the different administrative and finance sections.
The workshop concluded with a reflection session where the participants shared their key takeaways. Highlights included the importance of responsible spending, complete and correct documentation, proactive planning, avoidance of rushed processes, understanding Request for Quotations, awareness of procurement procedures, and interest in green procurement practices followed by suggestions of potential topics for future training.

Bagnos of the Human Resource Management Office in her closing remarks expressed her gratitude to AMAD for hosting the activity as she looks forward to the improvement of compliance and implementation on administrative and finance matters as part of the continuing efforts on the quality management system of the DA-CAR.
