BAGUIO CITY April 23 – Mayor Benjamin Magalong ordered today the lockdown of San Vicente barangay over repeated violations of the Enhanced Community Quarantine that increased to 3 the number of barangays under total lockdown.
Under such status, access to and from the barangay will be restricted including their marketing schedule except for Authorized Persons Outside Residences.
Residents will have to coordinate with the barangays for their needs, the mayor said.
Earlier, the local government locked down Scout Barrio and parts of Upper Dagsian to pave the way for the contact tracing of the close contacts of the 46-year old street sweeper that turned out to be a positive COVID-19 case while barangay Fairview was locked down because of the failure of residents to comply with the strict quarantine rules and regulations.
Also locked down are portions of Maria Basa in Pacdal and Woodsgate in Camp 7 to allow contract tracers to get in touch with the close contacts of the 77-year old male stroke patient and the 33-year old nurse.
Barangays that were warned of being locked down are East Quirino Hill and Dominican-Mirador.
Pinget was the first barangay in the city to be locked down because of the alleged refusal of the residents to adhere to the strict quarantine rules at the initial stages of the Luzonwide enhanced community quarantine.
