LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) ushered in the holiday season with a stunning display of lights at its new Christmas Village, now situated at the Apayao Eco-Tourism and Sports Complex (AETSC) in San Gregorio, Luna.
The Christmas Village was officially illuminated on December 5, 2024, along with a grand fireworks display to cap off the Provincial Hero’s Day commemorative program.
The ceremonial switch-on was led by Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. and attended by local officials, heads of National Line Agencies (NLAs), and interested individuals witnessing this year’s most anticipated PGA-sponsored Christmas event.
Said festive event created a magical atmosphere that sparked the beginning of this year’s yuletide celebrations in the province. The display features glimmering lights and colorful Christmas decors exhibited at the Christmas tree-inspired Clubhouse all the way down to the Olympic-size swimming pool at the AETSC.
The Christmas display will be open to visitors daily from 6PM to 8PM in order to provide an opportunity for families, friends, and tourists to indulge themselves in the festive atmosphere. Various activities are likewise planned throughout the holiday season. By Jess Christley Marquez
