LUNA, Apayao – An administrative aide of the provincial veterinary office died after she was allegedly shot several times by still unidentified assailants along the provincial road at San Isidro Sur here Wednesday afternoon.
Police authorities identified the victim as Lausita C. Usod, single, Provincial Veterinary Office Employee as Admin Aide 2, and a resident of bqrangay, Badduat, Kabugao, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was driving her motorcycle and was travelling along the provincial road when she was repeatedly shot by the still unidentified gun-wielding suspects.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned residents to the Far North General Hospital and Training Center but she was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple gunshot wounds in his back and right breast.
The motive and the type of firearm used in the incident is yet unknown following the conduct of an in-depth investigation to ascertain the identity of the suspects.
