LUNA, Apayao – The Farnorth Luzon General Hospital and Training Center (FNLGHTC) has recently been awarded the Gold Trailblazer Award in Quezon City, Manila during a validation exam conducted by the Institute of Solidarity in Asia (ISA).
FNLGHTC was also conferred with the Initiated Status under ISA’s good governance framework, a Performance Governance System (PGS).
The Gold Trailblazer award, according to FNLGHTC, shows the dedication and passion of all personnel to provide better health services to all catchment communities.
During the validation exam, Dr. Marlene L. Lubo Medical Center Chief captivated the judges with a compelling presentation of the center’s strategic vision to become a Level 3 Hospital with 5 basic residency training by 2028, emphasizing transformative healthcare and comprehensive neonatal care.
In her message to Far North, Dr. Lubo encouraged the personnel to continue the legacy she has built with them.
“I leave behind a legacy that I hope will inspire and guide all of you. Together, we’ve built a strong foundation and a clear blueprint for our PGS journey. Remember, every single one of you has an essential role in this collective dream. Let’s keep moving forward as a united force, turning this vision into reality,” said Lubo.
Lubo also expressed gratitude to ISA, saying “Working closely with you has been an absolute privilege. Your guidance has been a beacon for Far North, and I deeply appreciate the partnership we’ve shared. I’m excited about the incredible heights you and Far North will achieve together in the future.”
Despite the challenges of planning and strategizing – given that the PGS is new to them, along with manpower and financial constraints, the hospital has focused on achieving Compliance Stage in the PGS and enhancing health services in the province. By Loremia Pareja
