The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) inaugurated its new Legislative Building on February 11, 2025 at the Provincial Government Compound in San Isidro Sur, Luna as part of the celebration of the province’s 30th Founding Anniversary.
Board Member Kyle Mariah Chelsea Bulut-Cunan in her welcome message conveyed the journey of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) from a single office to having its own building. She then urged fellow Board Members to use the new facility as a space to craft policies that directly benefit yApayaos.
Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. formally turned over the building’s key to the members of the legislative body. Board Member Emiliano Galleon accepted it on behalf of the board and pledged to continue delivering important legislative work that serves the province.
Meanwhile, Congresswoman Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang, in her address, attributed the event to the province’s three decades of continuous development. She likewise challenged the officials to sustain their good momentum and reminded them that the facility was built for governance and not for politics.
The event was also attended by Provincial Department Heads, officials of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), other stakeholders, and staff of the Office of the Sanggunian Panlalawigan. By Krizza Castillo
