LUNA, Apayao – More than 1,200 job vacancies were made available to yApayaos during the job fair held on February 10, 2025 at the Apayao Eco Tourism and Sports Complex in San Gregorio, Luna.
Organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with the provincial government and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the event was part of the province’s 30th Founding Anniversary celebration.
Seven local establishments and one overseas recruitment agency participated and offered employment opportunities in various industries. A total of 124 job seekers submitted applications, with one applicant hired on the spot by Honda Elite Motorbike Sales Corporation.
Participating employers includes Automatechs Manpower Solution Inc., Isnag Builder Development Corporation (IBDC), Rural Bank of Angeles, Honda Elite Motorbike Sales Corporation, Alorica Teleservice Inc., ASA Philippines Foundation Inc., Cooperative Bank of Cagayan, ACT Machinery, Sibut Construction Corporation, ARMY Recruitment and Overseas recruitment agency.
Among the local job positions offered are sales supervisor, welder, laborers, civil engineer, accounting assistant, teller, teacher salary loan admin officer, collector, mechanic, sales clerk, call center agent, micro finance officer and marketing specialist. While overseas jobs are nurses and midwives.
The job fair is open to all unemployed, skilled, and unskilled workers, fresh graduates and graduates of training institutions.
The provincial government, DOLE, and DMW continue to work together to facilitate employment opportunities in Apayao. With the demand for jobs increasing, such programs are important in supporting economic growth and workforce development. By Krizza Castillo
