LUNA, Apayao – Frontline service providers of the provincial government received training on the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) from the Department of Tourism–Cordillera (DOT – CAR).
The training at the LMP Building of the Apayao Eco-Tourism and Sports Complex on January 22, guarantees that necessary skills, knowledge, and qualities to deliver high-quality service, advocating the Filipino brand of hospitality, will be embodied by provincial government personnel such as security guards, events’ ushers and usherettes, and frontliners who are transacting directly with the public.
In her welcome message, Provincial Tourism Officer Rebecca Mamba said that employees should take advantage of this training in order to improve the services of the provincial government. “Ammo yu ti frontliners, they play a vital role sa province. They can either make or break the tourism industry ta isuda iti umuna nga makasalamuha iti bisita tayo,” she said. “Today is the day to upskill, reskill, and enhance ourselves on how to deal with people,” she added.
Topics such as Filipino hospitality, customer service excellence, understanding and engaging customers, surpassing guests’ expectations, and proper handling of complaints, among others, were discussed during the training.
