TUGUEGARAO CITY – Demonstrating its commitment to providing top-notch healthcare services to every yApayao, the Provincial Health Team (PHT) convened with Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) since the latter has been chosen as one of the potential apex to fulfill Apayao’s Province-Wide Health System (PWHS).
Apayao, being a Universal Health Care (UHC) Integrated Site, aimed to enhance connectivity with identified apex hospitals to provide ease for financial burden, health facilities, and other services relative to hospitalization.
The PHO stated that the central objective of the recently concluded meeting was to formulate a framework of rules and regulations to effectively carry out the Preferred Health Care Provider Network (HCPN) and Referral System to accelerate UHC implementation in the Province.
Moreover, the Provincial Health team successfully transacted with CVMC. It is composed of the PHO, Provincial Department of Health Office, Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center Chief, Conner District Hospital medical specialists, public health unit representatives, and finance officer from the accounting office.
Dr. Mathew Baggao, the CVMC Chief of Hospital, pledged full support to the said endeavor by committing to provide technical assistance to capacitate Apayao hospitals and its whole healthcare system, thus assuring the yApayaos with comprehensive healthcare services. By Jomela Dela Torre
