SANTA MARCELA, Apayao – The Provincial Health Office (PHO), in collaboration with the Santa Marcela municipal government and Municipal Health Office, recognized the barangay health workers (BHWs) and barangay nutrition scholars (BNS) for their sacrifices and pivotal role in ensuring quality health care system in the barangays.
The recognition ceremony, themed with, “Pagkilala at Pasasalamat sa mga Natatanging Barangay Health Workers,” was conducted during the Annual Congress held at the EKB gymnasium of the town on December 16, 2024.
Around 108 participants, including 95 BHWs and 13 BNS were recognized during the Annual Congress which also gave recognition to Flora BHWs and BNS.
The municipal government Flora, with the PHO, also recognized 131 BHWs and BNS during their Annual Congress Assembly held at the Barangay Bagutong, Multipurpose Hall.
Tokens, coats, and caps were distributed as part of the program to show appreciation for the BHWs and BNSs contribution towards better and healthier communities. By Michelle Acantilado
