PUDTOL, Apayao – The Apayao Provincial Health Office (PHO) turned over a hand washing facility to Cabatacan Elementary School on September 18,2024 at Cabatacan Elementary School here in this municipality.
The turnover ceremony was attended by the PHO, the Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO) Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Pudtol, and teachers of Cabatacan Elementary School.
Cabatacan Elementary School is one of the schools with the most maintained hand-washing facility. For this, the program of Behavioral Nudges for Hand Hygiene Playbook funded by the PDOHO awarded them worth of PhP30,000.00 as prize.
The school head of Cabatacan Elementary School Roger Caluducan shared that the hand-washing facility area is intended for the lower grades explaining they need it “dahil hindi nila maabot ang mga ibang washing areas dahil sa height nila.”
Caluducan also expressed his sincere gratitude to the provincial government as well as the PHO for the unwavering support to the betterment of the learners of Apayao.
In addition, Janet Comamo School Parent Teachers Association President also expressed her gratitude ,saying ” Agyaman kami kadaytoy nga inpaay u kadagiti annak mi dakkel a tulong daytuy para iti salun-at dagiti annak mi, ken sapay lang kuma ta addan tu manen ipaay yu a pagsayaatan iti para kadagiti annak mi.” By Michelle Acantilado
